LEGA ITALIANA TIRO ALLA BALESTRA
The Italian Crossbow Shooting League was founded in 1986 by the crossbow companies of Assisi, Pisa, and Terra del Sole with the aim of promoting knowledge of ancient crossbow shooting through events, conferences, and studies.

The Italian Crossbow League symbolizes the history and tradition of crossbow use in Italy, a practice that has now been forgotten by many, but which was fundamental in the past for defending the freedom of the cities it represents.

Being together has allowed us not only to get to know each other as crossbowmen, but also to promote our cities, their traditions, and their unique tourist attractions throughout Italy.

The image we want to convey is that of an association that brings together cities that take pride in crossbow shooting, reaffirming today that the city walls of yesterday were defended by crossbows, not as instruments of death but as instruments of freedom.
